| Homeland | The first book in the Dark Elf Trilogy, and in my opinion, one of the best in the whole series. The book begins with Drizzt's birth, and ends with his decision to leave Menzoberanzan. |
| Exile | Second book in the Dark Elf Trilogy. Explores Drizzt's life in the Underdark, and with some of the friends he meets. After some run ins with his family, Drizzt finally decides to go and live on the surface world. |
| Sojourn | Third book int he Dark Elf Trilogy. Drizzt has a hard time adjusting to the surface world, and finds himself facinated with humans, though they fear him. At the end of the book, Drizzt reaches Ice Wind Dale. |
