Slayers: Road Trip Phibrizio: NO! Viv, I am not going to be stuck in a car- Viv: Van Phibrizio: Whatever! With the people you're planning to stick on this trip! Viv: How do you know who I'm planning to take? Phibrizio: Do I really want to know? Viv: *grins evilly* I don't know. . . do you? *Phibrizio whimpers* Gaav: What are you complaining about now, Hellbrat? Phibrizio: *ignores Gaav* Viv, I'm going to pack. . . Gaav: Pack? *Viv giggles* Phibrizio: Look at the screen, Gaav. Gaav: *looks at the screen* NO! There is no way in Hell that I am going on a road trip with the other Lords, you, you're brother, and Xellos!!!!! Viv: Aw, why not? Phibrizio and Gaav: That's who you're planning on sticking together in a car!?!?!?! Viv: Van! How do you expect to fit eight people into a car? Phibrizio: I think we could all fit in the Jeep if some of us sat in the back. Valgarv: *as he walks in* What's all the yelling about? Viv: Phibrizio, the luggage would have to go back there. Val: Luggage. . . .what luggage? Gaav: You're sister is making us go on a road trip. Val: WHAT!!! *Dynast, Deep Sea, Zelas, and Xellos come in* Dynast: What is Viv doing now? Phibrizio: She is sticking the eight of us in a van, and we're going on a road trip. Xellos: ^_^ Cool! I'm not rooming with Viv and Phibrizio, though *giggles as he leaves* Deep Sea: Where are we going, Viv? Viv: My Grandmother's house. Oh yeah, you are to act like normal people while we're there. In other words, no fighting, magic using, teleporting, use of obscenities, arguing, drinking, or smoking. Zelas: So basically Gaav isn't aloud to move or speak, right? Viv: Exactly. Gaav: Well, I'm insulted. . . Phibrizio: I suppose you should get the torture over with, Viv. Viv: ^_^ *Note: This story takes place after my Christmas story, so you might want to read it before you read this one. Some of Xellos's jokes will make more sense! ^_^ ~Viv- sama* It was a normal afternoon, and the Five Mazoku Lords, Valgarv and Xellos were lounging around in Viv's living room, waiting for the perky Ancient Dragon to get home from running some errands. " I don't see why we couldn't have gone with her," Phibrizio muttered. " We could have, but then Gaav had to go and bug her about the driving thing again," Xellos said. " I can drive just fine, thank you very much!," Gaav snorted. " Last time I checked, one hundred miles per hour was not a legal speed to use on the freeway!," Zelas said. " Yeah, Gaav," Viv said as she came in the house, " Where is everyone else?" " They went home," Dynast said, " Something about Luna. . . you know how Lina is when her older sister is mentioned." " Home? We are home," Phibrizio said. " I think he means our dimension," Zelas said. " Oh. I remember that place. . . sort of," Phibrizio said. The others rolled their eyes. " Viv's not there. Why the heck would he care about it?," Xellos asked. " Will you be quite?," Phibrizio snapped. " Everyone but you seven?," Viv asked her brother, totally ignoring Phibrizio and Xellos's bickering as she sat down on the couch. " Yep. The Lords weren't awake yet, Xellos didn't want to leave without Zelas's permission, and I wanted to stay here with you," Val said. " You know we couldn't have dragged Phibrizio back home if we tried," Xellos said, " Plus I like it here. The only dragons we have to worry about are on our side, or put up with us because of the dragons that are on our side." " I lost you," Val said. " You and Viv are on our side, and Filia likes you two, so she puts up with us," Deep Sea translated. " I'm not on anyone's side," Viv said. " Yeah, she runs a third party. 'People who don't have to listen to the Mazoku Lords, and the Dragon Kings ignore.' That's what side Viv's on," Valgarv laughed. " But Viv does listen to us," Dynast said. " What planet are you living on?," Xellos asked, " Viv has *never* listened to you guys!" " Yes she has," Gaav said. " When?," Valgarv rolled his eyes, and Gaav glared at him. " She listens to Phibrizio," Zelas said. Viv laughed so hard she fell off of the couch. " I agree with Viv," Valgarv said, " He listens to her." " Do not!," Phibrizio yelled. " Phibrizio-kun, will you go get me a Mountain Dew?," Viv asked. " Sure," Phibrizio said. " See?," Val asked. " He'd get me a drink if I asked him," Deep Sea said. " Try it when he gets back," Xellos said. " Here," Phibrizio said as he handed Viv a soda. " Thanks," Viv grinned. " While you're up, will you get me a glass of water, Phibrizio?," Deep Sea asked. Phibrizio snorted, " Get off your duff and do it yourself. You're legs aren't broken." " See?," Valgarv said as the phone rang. Viv answered it. " Hello? Oh hi! No, not much going on here. . . yeah I've still got some time off from school. Sure! Can I bring a few friends? Great! We'll leave tomorrow morning! We'll take it slow, it so it'll take us a couple of days to get there. I think we may stop in a few towns to do some shopping and stuff on the way. Yeah! See you in a four days! Bye!" " Who was that, Viv?," Valgarv asked. " My grandma." " You're human grandma you mean?," Dynast asked. " Hai. We're all going down to her house this weekend. We'll leave tomorrow morning," Viv said. " HUH!?!?!," everyone yelled. " You're going to make us sit in a car together!?," Gaav asked. " Yep. For four days. You better pack. We're leaving at nine in the morning," Viv said. " Why?," Dynast asked. " Because, that's why!," Viv said. " We aren't family. . . well, Valgarv is. Why are you dragging the rest of us along?," Zelas asked. " Because I don't trust you six alone in my house!," Viv yelled, " It'll be a smoking crater when I get back." " That's bad?," Deep Sea asked. " Yes! Now get packing! We need to leave early so we can get to Dallas before the big crowds." " She lives in Dallas? That's only and hour away! It wont take four days to get there!," Phibrizio said. " Well, if we get caught in Dallas traffic, theoretically, it could take four days," Xellos said. Everyone stared at him. " Anyway, no, my Grandma lives in Arkansas. It's about a seven hour drive, but I want to stop in Dallas and a few other places before we get there, so it will take us about four days," Viv said. " Okay," Phibrizio said, " I'm going to have to act like a ten year old, huh?" " Unless you change you're form, yeah," Viv said, " Sorry." " Poor Phibrizio-sama," Xellos sighed, " He wont be able to flirt with Viv-kun. . . his own girlfriend." " XELLOS!," Viv screeched. " Eep. . . I'm packing!," Xellos said as he ran down the hall to his room. The next morning. . . The five Mazoku Lords were standing outside by Viv's van, leaning against each other and trying not to fall asleep. Valgarv was loading everyone's stuff into the back of the van. Viv had only aloud one bag per person, and fitting eight duffel bag sized 'suitcases' into the back wasn't that big of a problem. Xellos was sitting in the van, behind the driver's seat, smiling happily. " What are you so perky about?," Phibrizio mumbled as he got up into the passenger seat. Viv was driving. . . again. Gaav had tried to get her to let him drive, but she had said the day she'd let Gaav drive was the day she had Dynast's baby. (and since that wasn't happening anytime soon, Viv got to drive) " Nothing," Xellos giggled as the others clamored into the van. Zelas took a seat next to Xellos, Valgarv took a seat behind Phibrizio. The other three Lords got stuck in the back of the van, and had to sit next to each other. Deep Sea got stuck in the middle of the boys, and she didn't look happy. " Is everyone ready?," Viv asked as she climbed into the driver's seat. " Yep!," Xellos practically cheered. Phibrizio grumbled as he pulled and Evee plushy out of a backpack that Viv had brought along, and snuggled up with it and took a nap. Ten minutes later. . . " I wanna listen to the Slayers music!," Zelas said. " No! Let's listen to Pure Moods!!!," Deep Sea yelled. " How about both of you shut up and let me pick a CD?," Gaav suggested. " NO HEAVY METAL!," everyone else in the car yelled but Valgarv and Phibrizio. (Val really didn't care one way or another, and Phibrizio was still asleep. " I didn't do it, L-Sama!," Phibrizio mumbled in his sleep, " It was all Gaav's fault. . . " " Yeah right, you little son of a-," Gaav started. " Don't say it," Viv warned. " Viv, how about we listen to the Titanic soundtrack?," Xellos asked. " No! She gets all sad when she listens to that," Valgarv said, " What's wrong with driving in silence?" " I just wanted to destroy the world! Isn't that what Mazoku are supposed to do, Mother. . . ," Phibrizio mumbled in his sleep. " That's what's wrong with it," Dynast said, " I don't want to hear Phibirzio talk in his sleep." " What do you think of Viv, Phibrizio?," Xellos asked. Phibirzio smiled in his sleep. " She's cute and she has a nice-" " PHIBRIZIO!," Valgarv yelled. " Huh!?! What?," Phibrizio asked as his eyes flew open and he bolted up in his chair, and managed to bang his head into the ceiling, " Ouch. . . " " Anyway," Valgarv growled as he glared daggers at Phibrizio. " Nani?," Phibrizio asked as he rubbed his head. " I'll pick a CD," Viv sighed, " Phibrizio, put this in, and skip to track three." Phibrizio did as he was told, and soon Celine Dion was playing. " Not a word, Gaav," Viv warned. Gaav grumbled something under his breath, but didn't say anything. An hour later. . . " Viv, why are we stopping?," Dynast asked as Viv pulled the van to a stop in front of a mall. " Shopping!!!," Zelas squealed and climbed over Valgarv to get out of the van. " She said it," Viv grinned as she got out too. Phibrizio sighed and hopped out. " Can we go to Sax Fifth Avenue?," Zelas asked. " I wanna go to the pet store!!!," Xellos giggled. " Do they have any good electronic stores here?," Valgarv asked. " A decent book store would be acceptable, I suppose," Dynast sighed. " Weapons, war, implements of destruction. . . need I say more?," Gaav asked. " Sporting goods. . . I need a new fishing rod," Deep Sea said. " Anime," Viv smiled, " Maybe the new Sorcerer Hunter tape is out. . . " " I'm hungry," Phibrizio said as he stretched, " I don't care where we go as long as it isn't Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works, or some other girly store." " I'm with the Hellbrat for once," Gaav said. " Tuff. We're going to Bath and Body Works. I need shower gel," Zelas snorted as she headed into the mall. The others followed. Three hours later. . . " Can we go now?," Gaav asked, " We've been here for three $%(#@# hours!!!!" " Alright," Viv said, " Let's go." " Which mall are we going to next?," Deep Sea asked. " ANOTHER MALL!?!?!?," the guys all yelled. " Of course," Zelas rolled her eyes, " We have at least four more malls to go to!" The guys all sweat-dropped and collapsed. " Oh for L-Sama's sake!," Viv rolled her eyes as she, Deep Sea, and Zelas walked off. The guys all ran to catch up. An hour later. . . " Viv, why don't you let me drive after we get gas?," Val asked as they pulled into a gas station. " You look beat." " Sure," Viv said as she went out to get gas. " Where are we stopping for the night?," Phibrizio asked Val. " I think somewhere close. . . Viv only wanted to drive until five," Valgarv said, " and we still have a few more malls to hit, and we may go see a movie." " Sounds good to me," Gaav said as he stretched. " Let's go," Viv said as she climbed into the van. Phibrizio had switched seats with Xellos, and Xelas was in Val's old seat, since she refused to sit next to Hellmaster. Viv sat down next to him, and Val drove off. . . At ten that night. . . " Sleep," Viv mumbled as she entered the hotel room. They had gotten two rooms, each with two queen size beds. The plan was for the guys to double up, and since Phibrizio was so small, have him squeeze into one of the beds too, and Viv was going to get a bed of her own while Xelas and Deep Sea doubled. The guys were in the room next-door, and the door connecting the two rooms was already open. " NO! I am not sleeping with Xellos!," Valgarv yelled. " Yes you are! You and Xellos are the smallest next to Phibrizio, and the three of you should have no problems fitting into a bed!," Gaav said. " NO!," Val screamed. Viv changed into an old tee shirt with a dragon on it and a pair of boxers, and climbed into a bed. Xelas and Deep Sea wandered over into the guys' room. Five minutes later, in the guys' room. . . " Val, why don't you just double up with your sister?," Zelas asked. " No. . . that'd be weird," Valgarv complained. An evil grin passed over Phibrizio's face. He slipped into the girls' room while everyone else was arguing, and poked Viv in the side. " Nani?," she mumbled, " Oh. . . hey Phibrizio-kun. It's not morning already, is it?" " No. Everyone's arguing about who is sleeping with who, and I'm tired. . . can I just get in with you until they solve the matter?" " Sure," Viv yawned, she was already almost asleep again. Phibrizio, who actually was tired, climbed in and was asleep before he knew it. Ten minutes later, in the guys' room. . . " Fine! I'll sleep with Xellos and Phibrizio, and you and Gaav can double up!," Dynast told Valgarv. " Where is the little Hellbrat, anyhow?," Gaav asked. " He went into the girls room about ten minutes ago. He's probably talking to Viv," Dynast shrugged. " Ne, Zelas, wasn't Viv already in bed?," Deep Sea asked. " WHAT!," Valgarv roared, and the six of them ran into the girls room. Viv and Phibrizio were both asleep, and Phibrizio was snuggled up against Viv's back. " Well, problem solved!," Xellos said, pushed Val, Dynast and Gaav back into the guys room. Then he turned to his mistress, " Lock the door behind us, kay?" " Hai," Zelas grinned. After thirty minutes of pounding on the girls' door, Val gave up and went to bed. " I'm going to kill Phibrizio," he mumbled. The next morning. . . " I drove yesterday, and I want to relax today," Viv said with a yawn. " Plus I'm still a little tired. Are you up to driving, Val?" Valgarv snored in response. He had fallen asleep in the van already. It was only six in the morning, and it had been almost two in the morning before he fell asleep. " I take that as a no. . . ," Viv sighed. " I can drive," Dynast volunteered. " Deep Sea can navigate." " Well. . . I guess," Viv said a little reluctantly as she climbed into the van, and sat down beside her brother. A few minutes later, she was asleep. " Do you know how to use a map, Deep Sea?," Phibrizio asked from behind her. " Sure!," Deep Sea giggled. " If you two screw up and get us lost, I am officially stating that I had absolutely nothing to do with it," Zelas said as she pulled out a book. " I second that!," Phibrizio said as he pulled out a Walkman and one of Viv's Slayers music tapes. Soon he was singing 'Give a Reason'. " I'm with the Hellbrat and Zelas," Gaav said as he pulled out some comic books. " Ditto!," Xellos said, stole the Walkman from Phibrizio, fast forwarded to 'But! But! But!', and began singing along. Phibrizio just pulled out the portable CD player and put the Slayers Try Treasury Vox in. Around noon. . . Viv woke up with as the van pulled to a stop. She looked around and saw that they were in the middle of nowhere except for a gas station that was charging the ridiculous price of four dollars a gallon. " Where are we?," Valgarv asked as he stretched. " Here," Deep Sea said and pointed at a spot on the map. Viv grabbed in and shook her head. " Deep Sea Dolphin," Viv said in her most kind voice, then she screamed, " You were holding the map upside down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" " Opps," Deep Sea said and tried to run. " Where are we then?," Dynast asked. " We're in Nevada. . . how in gay hell did we get to Nevada in six hours?!?!," Viv yelled. " They warped the van four or five times," Gaav said. Viv just got out of the van, opened the driver's door, pulled Dynast from the seat, climbed in, and started the car. " Everyone does realize that we are almost halfway across the country from where we are supposed to be?," Xellos said with a grin. " Uh. . . Viv, why don't we stop here for lunch? Then we can just teleport the van back to Dallas and we can get going in the right direction?," Valgarv suggested. " Fine. Who has the money?" " We uh. . . spent it all on gas, candy, magazines, and drinks while you were sleeping. You wouldn't believe the prices of Vodka these days!," Zelas shook her head. Viv screamed in frustration. " Phibrizio! Get your innocent little butt into that gas station, and con the owners into giving you food! Enough food for all of us, mind you!," Viv ordered. Phibrizio bolted. He knew better then to mess with Viv when she was angry. Viv sighed. " I'm going to go outside and walk for a minute." In the store. . . " Please mister! We're really hungry!," Phibrizio said and let tears well up in his eyes. The owner cracked, and gave Phibrizio enough food for a small army. As he left the building, stuffing his face on chips, he heard Viv yell Dragon Slave, and saw the van explode. " Oh boy. . . ," he sighed as he walked up to her. Viv stood panting in the parking lot. Her hands were balled into fists at her sides, and she was trying to return her breathing to normal. How dare that fruitcake- " Where are the others, Viv-kun?," Phibrizio asked as he walked up. " Huh?" " The others. You know, your brother, the other Lords and Xellos? Where are they? And do they have our stuff?," Phibrizio asked as he finished the bag of chips. " How come you Dragon Slaved the van?" Viv wailed and began to cry. " Viv. . . ?," Phibrizio asked, suddenly feeling panicked. . . Viv NEVER cried. " I killed my brother and my friends!!!!!!!!!," Viv wailed and started to cry harder. " Um. . . I'm sure they'll be resurrected in new bodies in a few years. . . we're sort of L-Sama's favorites. . . I think," Phibrizio said. Viv continued to cry, and Phibrizio continued to panic, and tried to think of a way to calm Viv down. On the roof. . . . " How long do you think it'll take him to figure out we're not dead?," Gaav asked. He, Zelas, Deep Sea, Dynast, Xellos, and Valgarv had taken refuge on the roof about a second before Viv fired off the Dragon Slave. They had also managed to salvage everyone's things. " I don't know. . . right now he's concentrating on calming Viv down, so he's not bothering to use the Astral Plane to locate us," Dynast said. " Maybe we should just stay up here, and let them think we're dead! We can go home," Xellos pouted. " You're just mad because you finally pushed her over the edge and got her mad enough to Dragon Slave you in broad day light in front of people who don't know who we are. . . it sucks to be you, Xellos!," Valgarv snickered. " OH MY GOD!," Zelas screamed. " Shut up! They'll hear you!!!!," Deep Sea whispered. Zelas pointed down to the parking lot. " OH MY GOD!," Deep Sea screamed. " Will you two shut up!," Gaav hissed. In the parking lot. . . Phibrizio had finally lost it. . . Viv wouldn't stop panicking, so he did the only thing he could think of. He set down the food, grabbed Viv's head in his hands, and kissed her square on the lips. It calmed Viv down, to say the least. . . On the roof. . . " What is it?," Dynast asked. " Look!," Deep Sea said and pointed down in the parking lot. " Holly shit!," Gaav yelled. " Bout freaking time!," Xellos grumbled. " I knew they liked each other! I knew it!," Dynast said. Valgarv stared at his little sister and the Mazoku Lord, and his overly protective big brother instincts kicked in: KILL any male that touches little sister. " I'm going to kill that little brat!," Valgarv roared and started to jump off the roof. Gaav grabbed him in mid leap, and pulled him back up. " Are you nuts? This is the best thing I've seen in years!," Gaav hissed. " He's not going to do anything to her. . . now shut up and sit down." " NO! I'm going to murder him! I'm going to rip him limb from limb and make sure he never touches my little sister again! Let me go!" " Men. . . ," Zelas rolled her eyes. Meanwhile. . . Phibrizio broke off the kiss and blushed furiously. . . Viv was blushing too, but she wasn't freaking out anymore. . . thank L-Sama. " You okay now?," Phibrizio stammered as he backed up a few paces. " Fine," Viv managed to say. Then she walked over to Phibrizio, and kissed him. Up on the roof. . . " Oh! This is getting good," Deep Sea said. " Let me-muffhgh!," Val tried to yell, but Gaav slammed a hand over his mouth. Xellos grinned. . . how long could one stay mad when one's plan was working perfectly. . . Valgarv, on the other hand, was getting pissed. Gaav made a funny noise when he found a black feathery wing in his face. " Uh oh. . . ," Dynast sighed as a second wing appeared on Val's back. Down in the parking lot. . . " What in the Hell?!," Viv yelled. " What about Hell?," Phibrizio said in a dazed voice. " Look!," Viv said and turned his head so he could see up on the roof. Phibrizio snapped out of his daze in a second. " That looks like Val's wing. . . " " Those-those-NAMOGOMI!," Viv raged. " They've been up in the roof the whole time!" As Viv was preparing to Dragon Slave the building, Valgarv swooped down off the roof, and flew straight for Phibrizio. " Oh shit. . . ," Phibrizio sighed. " L-Sama, why me?" A split second later, Val had his hands around the Hellmaster's neck. " LISTEN TO ME YOU LITTLE HELLBRAT!!!!!! IF YOU *EVER* TOUCH MY SISTER AGAIN-," Valgarv started to yell, but was cut off when someone hit him over the head with a shoe. " Let him go right now Val!," Viv demanded. " Viv-Ouch!," Val yelled as Viv hit him again. " I said, let him go!" "Viv-" Viv sighed and hit her older brother over the head again. " NOW, Valgarv! Let. Him. Go." " But-," Val was whining now. " Valgarv!," Viv yelled. " I said let him go! And put your wings away before someone sees!" Valgarv let go of Phibrizio and let his wings disappear as he rubbed his now sore head with one hand. " You hit him with a shoe?," Xellos snickered as he and the others landed. Xellos's only response was getting hit square in the face with Viv's shoe. " Ouchies. . . ," he whined. " Here's the deal. . . we need a new van, and we need money to get a van," Viv said. " Do any of you have any bright ideas?" " There was a care dealership in a town about a hundred miles back, and they had a van that looked exactly like our old one, same year too," Deep Sea said. " So let's teleport there and steal the sucker," Gaav grinned. " I've been degraded to stealing vans," Viv sighed as they all teleported away. At the car dealership. . . " The keys are in it!," Valgarv reported. " The drivers door is unlocked too." " Good. Phibrizio, Deep Sea, and Zelas. . . you three distract the salesmen. . . Dynast and Xellos cause some kind of commotion inside so that no one will be paying attention to what's going on out here. Gaav. . . you go full Mazoku form and go invisible. With nine heads, you'll make a pretty darn good look out. Val, you teleport the new van back to that old gas station, and I'll go with you and put the old license plates on it. We'll meet at the gas station where I Dragon Slaved the old van after the new van gets there," Viv said. " How did the old license plates survive the Dragon Slave, anyhow?," Xellos asked. " I don't know. . . maybe L-Sama spared them because she knew we'd need them," Viv shrugged. " Now go!" Zelas walked up to the first salesman she saw, and asked, " Where are the most expensive cars you have?" " Around this way, miss," he smiled, and led her around the building. Can I help you, miss?," another salesman asked Deep Sea. " Yes. . . I need a sports utility vehicle. One with a lot of space," she smiled. The salesman led her in the same direction Zelas had gone. The last person out on the lot was a young woman, and it was Phibrizio's job to distract her. " What would a ten year old spoiled brat do?," Phibrizio asked himself. Cause chaos. . . Phibrizio grinned and ran past the lady and began weaving in and out between the cars, hoping in some of them, and honking the horn. The lady gave chase. " Poor lady," Val laughed. " Now we just have to rely on Dynast and Xellos," Viv said. Viv and Val looked at each other. " We're doomed," they sighed together. Xellos and Dynast had decided the best way to cause trouble inside was simply to walk in, and knock things off the desks, and go where 'unauthorized personnel' weren't supposed to go. Needless to say, most of the building went after them, leaving the front room vacant. Viv was right when she said that Gaav would be a good lookout. In his Mazoku form, he had nine heads, and it was easy to keep tabs on everyone. When he saw that no one was looking at Viv or Val, or even in the direction of the van, he gave the single that it was okay for them to teleport the van out. " Gaav-sama says it's clear!," Val said as he jumped into the van. Viv climbed in after him. " Let's go then," she said. " This is so wrong! We're committing a felony!" " What are they going to do? Lock us up for life?," Val smirked. Viv couldn't help but giggle as they teleported. Zelas and Deep Sea had seen Gaav give the signal, and knew it was time for them to make their departure. " Where's Phibrizio?," Zelas hissed to Deep Sea. Then they both saw him, and they lady, who was looking very disheveled. " Darling!," Deep Sea called to him. " Come over here now and leave that poor woman alone!" " Sure Mom!," Phibrizio called, catching on to what she was planning right away. " We have to be going now," Zelas said as she simply walked off the car lot, followed by Deep Sea and Phibrizio. As soon as they were out of sight of the three sales representatives, they vanished. Gaav sighed. He could always just leave and let Dynast and Xellos deal for themselves, but he decided that wasn't a good idea because Viv would get mad, and he'd had his fill of Viv being mad for a while. With a grumble, he sent a telepathic message to Dynast. " Now it's their fault if they don't get out," Gaav snickered to himself as he regained human form, and disappeared. " It's time to go, Xellos," Dynast said. " Easier said then done, Dynast-sama. I count almost twenty humans following us," Xellos giggled. Dynast rolled his eyes, grabbed Xellos, and ducked into a storage closet. Then he disappeared. Xellos followed. Soon. . . " I'm never letting you two drive again!," Viv declared as they pulled out of the gas station. " It was Deep Sea's fault!," Dynast grumbled. " How about we just drop it and teleport the van to Dallas and get to a hotel? It's almost five. Then tomorrow we can start drive for seven hours to Grandma's," Viv suggested. " Sounds good to me," Phibrizio said. " Phibrizio, you are not sleeping in the same room with Viv *ever* again," Val growled and glared at Phibrizio. " What if they get married?," Xellos asked. Valgarv punched the trickster priest square in the face. Viv sighed and shook her head. The next afternoon. . . " Here we are," Viv said as they pulled to a stop in front of a house. " She lives way out in the country," Zelas smiled. " I like it! Do you know if there are any wolves in the area?" " I'm sure we'll find out soon enough, my mistress," Xellos said. Everyone was in normal street clothes. Viv had even gotten Xellos to leave his staff in the van. " Remember, you have to act like normal humans! Xellos, keep your eyes open! Gaav, don't curse," Viv said. " Phibrizio, listen to Deep Sea. She's supposed to be your big sister." " And no flirting with Viv," Xellos added. Phibrizio started to fire a spell at him. " And no magic!," Valgarv and Viv yelled together. Phibrizio grumbled and let the spell fade. " Come on," Viv sighed as she got out of the van. Then to herself she whispered, " Please, L-Sama, one weekend of peace?" Three days later. . . Viv and the others had loaded up the van, and everyone was set to go but Viv herself. She was talking to her Grandma before she got into the van. " I hope we didn't wreak you house too much," Viv said. " Of course not," Grandma smiled. " You're friends were charming. . . a few of them were a little odd, though." " Xellos?," Viv laughed. " Yes," Grandma nodded with a smile. " I rather liked Gaav. He's on of the nicest young men I've ever met. Phibrizio was well behaved too, always listening to his sister." Viv's brain had frozen on the Gaav comment, and she managed to keep her mouth from dropping open. " Well, we better get going. We want to get home before it gets to dark." " Bye, dear. Be careful, and call me when you get home!," Grandma said as Viv climbed into the car. " What did she say about us?," Zelas asked. " She thought Xellos was odd," Viv said, " and that Phibrizio was well behaved for a kid. Then she said Gaav was one of the nicest young men she'd ever meet." " What!?," everyone but Gaav yelled. Everyone was quite for a few minutes as they digested that thought. " So, can I drive?," Gaav asked. " Gaav, we've been over this. . . NO!," Viv yelled. " Come on! You're Grandma liked me," Gaav pleaded. " No!," Viv said. " Please?" " NO!" " I'll tell your Grandma you were mean to me." " Do you think she'll care?," Dynast asked. " I don't know," Gaav shrugged.
