Prologue Before the war. . . Deep Sea Dolphin was happy. She was about to reveal a secret to her ‘counterparts’ that would make Xellas so mad! It was something Deep Sea had been waiting to do for centuries! Deep Sea giggled. It made her happy to even think about it! " Are they coming?," a deep, gruff voice asked from the door to her throne room. " Hai," Deep Sea smiled, " They’re waiting for us in the War Room at Mazoku’s Domain. All of them. Phibrizio, Xellas and Dynast! I think their Priests and Generals will be there too, but that just makes it all that much more fun!" " You were never one to have fun, Deep Sea Dolphin," the voice snickered. " Don’t be such a spoil sport! Come on. Let’s get going! We wouldn’t want to keep our audience waiting, now would we?," Deep Sea said with a coy smile as she left her throne room. The owner of the voice, a man, and a woman stood at the doors. " Are we to accompany you, Deep Sea-sama?," the woman asked. " Of course, Siren! You are my General! Daksha, you shall come as well, my Priest," Deep Sea said, " Now come along!" Meanwhile, at Mazoku’s Domain. . . Mazoku’s Domain was an island, a giant island with a huge castle built on it. This island was only accessible to the Five Mazoku Lords and whomever they wanted on the island with them. In the castle’s War Room, three very annoyed Mazoku Lords sat. " Are you sure she wanted all of us?," a man with dark black hair asked. " Yes, Dynast, I’m sure!," a boy that looked about ten snapped. He had dark blue hair and light green eyes, " I’m not an imbecile, you know!" " Calm down, Phibrizio, save your anger for her," a woman with long blonde hair and shinning blue eyes murmured as she puffed on a cigarette. " Xellas, put that disgusting thing away. You’re stinking up the whole room," Dynast said, without emotion as usual. Xellas ignored him, also the usual. " She’s late," Phibrizio muttered. Meanwhile, outside of the War Room in the grand hall. . . . Seven annoyed Mazoku were standing, sitting, or floating as they waited for their Masters to summon them into the War Room. Sitting in two chairs against a wall were Xellos and Kosha. Xellas’s General/Priests. Xellas had never defined on of them as the Priest or one of them the General. They split the jobs evenly. So, their titles were Kosha, the General and Priestess of Beastmaster Xellas Metallium, and Xellos, General and Priest of Beastmaster Xellas Metallium. It was very confusing, and Xellas, Xellos and Kosha liked it that way. Valgarv was leaning on the wall next to the door to the War Room. After Hellmaster’s ‘rebirth’ he was made Phibrizio’s General. Val had his arms crossed over his chest and had a very annoyed/pissed look on his face that gave off the message ‘leave me alone unless you want me to rip your guts out.’ Floating next to him was Phibrizio’s Priestess, Raya. She had her legs crossed and she looked like she was sitting in a giant invisible chair. Her staff was balanced on her knees, and she had her eyes closed and a happy grin was on her face. She was probably the only person who could get within three feet of Valgarv and not suffer his wrath. Across the room from these four, a woman and two men stood. The woman was standing up, one hand on her hip, and the other was wrapped around the hilt of a sword that was strapped to her waist. She was Sherra, Dynast’s General. Behind her, stood two men. They were rumored to be twin brothers, although they looked nothing alike. Their names were Grau and Grou and they were Dynast’s Priests. Grau, Grou and Sherra were looking at the four other occupants of the room. Sherra was staring at Kosha as if she was sizing her up for a battle. Kosha couldn’t stand it anymore, " What are you staring at!," Kosha screamed at Sherra. " You. I want to know why Xellas chose you as her General," Sherra said calmly. " First off, I’m not the General," Kosha said, " and as for why Xellas chose me. . . ," Kosha, Xellos and Raya all winked at Sherra and waved their index fingers at her. Simultaneously, they said, " Sore wa himitsu desu!" (That is a secret!) " You walked right into that one," Valgarv laughed. " So you’re the Priestess then?," Grau asked. " No." " But you just said you’re not the General," Grou said. " I’m not." " But then you have to be the Priestess!," Sherra said. " No," Kosha said. This was fun! " THEN WHO ARE YOU!!!!!!," Sherra, Grau and Grou all screamed at the same time. Kosha smiled, " Sore wa himitsu desu!" In the War Room. . . Sherra, Grau and Grou’s scream could be heard through the heavy iron doors. Xellas smiled, she knew exactly what was going on, " That’s a good girl, Kosha," she thought, " Play with their minds!" " Maybe we should call them in before they kill each other. I rather like Valgarv and Raya. They know what is expected of them, and I don’t have to explain or tell them things twice," Phibrizio said. " No need. They are all under strict orders not to use magic against each other, correct," Dynast said as he took a sip of wine, " Since they are under orders we have noting to fear." Outside. . . . " Kosha, Kosha," Xellos smiled, " How evil you are being!" " And?," Kosha asked with a smirk. " Look, you have to be either the General or the Priest," Grau said. " No," Kosha and Xellos smiled simultaneously. Sherra looked about ready to kill them both. " They share the jobs. They are both the General and the Priest," Valgarv said. He was tired of this fight. " Valgarv!," Kosha whined, " I was having fun!" " Whatever," Valgarv said, " I know you better." Kosha just smiled. " How do all of you know each other? All four of you seam close," Grau said. " We’re related," Xellos, Raya, Kosha, and Valgarv all said at the same time. Sherra, Grau and Grou all looked shocked. " Xellos and I are married. Raya and Valgarv are married," Kosha said with a yawn. " Yeah, but that doesn’t make all four of you related," Sherra said, " and why does Raya look like Xellos? Are you his sister?" Raya opened her eyes and slowly turned to Dynast’s General. She smiled an evil grin, " Would you three like to hear my formal introduction?," she asked, before they could answer she began, " I am Xellos Raya, daughter of Xellos and Kosha, wife of Valgarv, Priestess of Hellmaster Phibrizio!" " You’re Xellos’s daughter!," Sherra screamed. Before Raya could say anything, the doors burst open. Deep Sea Dolphin came in, the man who had spoken in the gruff voice was with her. He was in a cloak with a hood pulled up over his head so you couldn’t see his face. He was tall. About seven feet give or take a few inches. Behind them were Siren and Daksha. " Hello!," Deep Sea Dolphin said with a grin, " My counterparts are in the War Room, hai?" " Hai, Deep Sea Dolphin-sama," Xellos grinned. " Siren, Daksha, you wait out here with the others," Deep Sea said, then to the cloaked man, " You come with me." In the War Room. . . . Deep Sea Dolphin and Mr. Cloak hand just entered the room. " It’s about damn time!!!," Phibrizio yelled, " I have better things to do!" " As do I," Dynast said, " Who is the man in the cloak?" " He is why I am here! Why don’t you reveal yourself?," Deep Sea grinned. The man removed his hood. " Oh my Gods!," Xellas yelled, " Why weren’t we informed of this sooner!?" " Why weren’t Dynast and I informed of Hellmaster Phibrizio’s return?," Deep Sea grinned. " My return had to be kept a secret because of a major factor, then again, what I considered a major factor!," Phibrizio roared, " I was told who I was then given back my memories! It was my choice not to be revealed at that time! How long has he been back!?" " You speak as if I wasn’t in the room," the man said with a sneer. " Shut-up, Gaav!," Phibrizio sighed. Yes, the man in the cloak was Gaav, the Chaos Dragon. Phibrizio gave Deep Sea Dolphin his most serious and terrifying look, " I asked you a question, Deep Sea Dolphin. I suggest you answer it." " I-uh-I found Gaav when he was three. I them took him from his ‘parents’ and raised him until he was sixteen. Then I gave him back him memories. For the past five years he has been ‘relearning’ how to use his powers. He is now at the strength he was at when he died," Deep Sea stammered. Phibrizio could be very intimidating and scary as heck when he wanted to be! " Fine. I shall let you off the hook since he seams to be himself," Phibrizio said, " Don’t forget, I am the leader around here and I am the most powerful! Until our Lord is reborn, I am in charge! Is everyone clear on that?," he asked. The other four lords nodded, Phibrizio smiled, " Good. Welcome back, Gaav, now, call in the Generals and the Priests." In the grand hall. . . . " If you’re not the General, and you’re not the Priest, then who are you?," Siren asked Kosha, who smiled evilly. " Sore wa-," Kosha started, but was cut off when the telepathic signal from the Lords was heard. " Let’s go," Valgarv said as they entered. " Now, that everyone is here, I want to inform you all of what has happened," Phibrizio said. He, Xellas, Deep Sea Dolphin, and Dynast were sitting down. Their Priests and Generals were standing behind their chairs. There was a vacant seat. " I can introduce myself, thank you," Gaav smiled as he came out of the shadows, " Did you miss me?" " Gaav-sama!," Valgarv yelled. " Valgarv? So you’re Hellmaster’s General now? Interesting," Gaav snickered as he took a seat, " Two new ones." " Introduce yourself, child," Xellas told Kosha. " My name is Kosha, General and Priestess of Beastmaster Xellas Metallium," Kosha said. " General and Priestess? You and Xellos split the jobs?," Gaav said. " Hai, Gaav-Sama," Kosha said. " And you are?," Gaav asked Raya. " My name is Xellos Raya, Priestess of Hellmaster Phibrizio." " Xellos Raya?!" " Xellos is my father, Kosha is my mother," Raya said, " and Valgarv is my husband." " Well, well. Married are we, Valgarv?" " Hai, Gaav-Sama." " Speaking of Generals and Priests, don’t you need to get some, Gaav?," Dynast asked. " My old two will do just fine. I can’t seam to locate them on the Astral Plane, though. Anyone know what became of Rashaat and Raltark?" " I killed them," Valgarv said. " Excuse me?," Gaav asked. " After you were killed, they knew that you would be reborn, so they would not help me to seek out Lina Inverse and kill her in revenge. I saw her as a prime reason of your death. I felt that since they were supposed to be your General and Priest, it was their duty to get revenge. Since Rashaat and Raltark would not, I saw this a defying their duty. Servants of the Five Mazoku Lords don’t defy orders, if they do, they die," Valgarv said, " Since you were not around to kill them yourself, I did it for you." Gaav laughed, " Well done, well done, Valgarv! I never thought of it that way. I was getting tired to them anyway. I guess I’ll have to find some new ones, huh? Anyone got any suggestions?" " Actually, I know two young, promising Mazoku that would probably fit right in with our main group," Phibrizio said. Raya looked at him. She still considered him her younger brother, and he considered her his older sister. When they weren’t around the other Lords, the called each other brother and sister. She didn’t like the idea of what her little brother was thinking. " Well?," Gaav asked. " They are brother and sister, and their names are Vallos and Xelterria," Hellmaster smiled. " Otoutosan!! ( younger brother)," Raya yelled without thinking. The room was as silent as silence can get. Everyone was staring at her. Raya had realized her mistake and threw her hands over her mouth. " She is so dead!," Sherra giggled to herself. But Phibrizio turned to Raya with a smile. " Yes, Aneki? (elder sister)," he asked her. Telling Raya in one sentence, that no, she wasn’t in trouble for calling him ‘Otoutosan’ in front of the others, and that he wanted her opinion. " Whoa! Whoa!," Gaav yelled, " What the hell is going on?" " Yeah! She called you ‘little brother’ and you called her ‘elder sister’," Deep Sea said. " Yes, that is rather odd," Dynast said. " I was raised by Xellos and Beastmaster before I found out who I was, ne?," Phibrizio smiled, " I knew Raya as my older sister. When I found out of my past, she was the only one I still cared for in any way. So we continue to call each other brother and sister. Do any of you have a problem with that?" " No," everyone else said together. " Good," Phibrizio smiled, " Now, Aneki, what is wrong with Vallos and Xelterria becoming Gaav’s General and Priest?" " They are rather independent, Otoutosan," Raya sighed, " I do not think they will like taking orders very well, even if they are from Gaav-sama." " How do you presume to know these two so well?," Dynast asked. " They are my children." " Kawaii! (cute)," Deep Sea yelled, " You and Valgarv have kids!" Deep Sea Dolphin had one weakness: Mazoku babies and children. Not many Mazoku reproduced like humans and dragons did. Most just created offspring, and they were usually created adults, so real Mazoku children were rare. " Baka! (idiot)," Xellos muttered. " Yes. But they’re grown up," Valgarv said. " Oh fudge," Deep Sea muttered. " Well, lets meet them. The idea of Val having offspring interests me. If they’re anything like him, I think I will make them my new General and Priest," Gaav said. " Phibrizio-sama, I agree with Raya on this. They don’t like taking orders," Valgarv said. " We will let Gaav decide on that matter," Phibrizio said, " Aneki, go get them." " Hai, Otoutosan," Raya sighed and vanished, in a moment, she reappeared, " They will be here soon. Vallos went to get Xelterria. She was asleep in the rose garden." " Here we are," a boy said as he and a girl appeared. They both looked a lot like Valgarv, and the boy was an exact copy, except he had purple streaks of hair around his face. If Val had been a girl, he would have looked very similar to his daughter. " Introduce yourselves to Gaav. Yes, he is back, I will explain later," Hellmaster said. " I am Vallos, son of Valgarv and Raya," the boy said. " I am Xelterria, daughter of Valgarv and Raya, sister to Vallos," the girl said. " You’re nervous," Sherra snickered. " Of course. We’ve never been called before all five of the Mazoku Lords before," Vallos said. " May we ask why we are here, Phibrizio-chan?," Xelterria asked. Again, everyone expected Phibrizio to go postal on this girl, but, he just smiled. " Gaav, care to explain?," Hellmaster asked. " They can call you by such an informal title, Phibrizio-sama?!," Grau asked. " Hai!," Phibrizio yelled, now he was getting annoyed, " Only Raya, Vallos, and Xelterria can get away with calling me by such informal titles! If any of the rest of you ever try it, you’ll be fried into ashes in point five seconds!" " Hai, Phibrizio-sama," all the Generals and Priests in the room nodded. " Now, as for why you’ve been called here, I need a new General and a new Priest. Phibrizio suggested you two for the jobs. Now, you’re parents seam to think that you wont take to following orders to well," Gaav said, " If you decided to become my General and Priest, for the first few months I’ll cut you a little slack. Phibrizio doesn’t like it when Priests and Generals can’t do their jobs, so he wouldn’t have even mentioned you unless he thought you could handle it. So, what do you say?" " What do you think, Ainki (elder brother)?," Xelterria asked. " I think we could handle it. What do you think, Imoutosan (younger sister)?," Vallos asked. " I think we could handle it, too." " Alright then, Gaav-sama," Vallos smiled, " My sister and I accept you’re offer." " Good. Vallos, you will be the General, and Xelterria, you will be my Priestess," Gaav smiled, " Now get over here!" Vallos and Xelterria smiled at each other and went over and stood behind Gaav’s chair. " Anyone else have anything to add to this wonderful little meeting?," Xellas asked. No one said a word, " Alright then. I’m out of here," Beastmaster sighed, " You two know you’re mission," she added to Kosha and Xellos. " Hai," the said together. Then Beastmaster vanished. " Mission?," Valgarv asked, " What mission?" " Sore wa himitsu desu!," the couple smiled as they vanished as well. " You walked right into that one, love," Raya giggled. " I know," Valgarv sighed. " Otoutosan, do you have anything for us to do?," Raya asked Hellmaster. " No. Go back to the palace. I will be there soon, Aneki," Phibrizio smiled as Valgarv and Raya disappeared. Dynast, Sherra, Grau and Grou said nothing as they left. Neither did Deep Sea Dolphin, Siren or Daksha. " Well, Phibrizio, now what?," Gaav asked. " I sense that we all of us will be together again sooner then we think," Phibrizio smiled, looking for the entire world like a ten year old boy. " Yeah, yeah. Whatever," Gaav laughed, " Follow me," he added to Xelterria and Vallos. Then the three of them vanished. " I will have to talk with Aneki soon. She will understand," Phibrizio sighed to the empty room and vanished. The room would be occupied again by the Five Mazoku Lords and their Generals and Priests one again far sooner then even the Great Hellmaster Phibrizio expected. Xellos: Sorry for this short interruption folks, but we are experiencing technical difficulties at the moment! Valgarv: Technical difficulties? That’s your description of this chaos? Phibrizio: ( yells as he enters room with a bowl of popcorn) WHAT’S GOING ON?! Valgarv: Oh, Lina made some smart mouthed remark to Gaav about him being Deep Sea’s son, and he cast a Gaav Flair, it missed Lina and hit Xellas, who stole Filia’s mace and hit Gaav. Heather got mad and told them all to shut-up and sit down so she could type but. . . . Xellos: But by now, Lina, Filia, Gaav and my Mistress were all in a huge fight, so Heather grabbed Filia’s mace form my Mistress, and is now thrashing them. Phibrizio: I leave the room for five minutes and all the cool stuff happens!!! Heather: Okay, now all of you shut-up and be nice so I can type!!! Filia: (in a meek voice) Can I have my mace back, please? Heather: Oh, sure. (sits down at computer and begins to type) Gaav: (whispers to others) Are you SURE she’s not a Mazoku? Phibrizio: I wonder about that myself sometimes. . . . Valgarv: (grins slyly) Oh, she’s not a Mazoku. . . . Filia: Is she a dragon? Phibrizio: No way! She is way too cool to be a dragon! Val: She’s not a dragon. Xellos: Per say. . . . Lina: Then what is she? Val and Xellos: Sore wa himitsu desu!!!! Xellos: and now back to the story! ^_^ Filia: Phibrizio, (lifts mace in air) what was that about Heather being too cool to be a dragon? Phibrizio: Nothing, heh heh. . . . Chapter I The Lord of Nightmares grinned. What she was about to do would probably cause the whole world, particularly the dragons, to go nuts with panic, and cause tons of Pandemonium. Oh well, she liked chaos. " Time to wake up, Lei," she smiled as she grabbed a shovel and vanished. Meanwhile. . . . Filia was talking a walk in a beautiful rose garden, humming to herself and enjoying the peaceful day. She smiled as she looked up into the big, blue, cloudless. . . .oh, wait, some storm clouds were rolling in. Well, at least it was still warm. . . .oh, wait, (again!) an icy wind was beginning to blow. Soon the wind was raging, and Filia’s blonde hair was being flung in all directions. " What is going on!?," she wailed as the ground began to violently shake, " Great! No an earthquake!," she yelled as she was shaken off her feet and landed right smack on her butt, " OUCH!!," she yelled, " I’d be better off in the air!" With that, Filia morphed and took to the air. Her mouth dropped open in shook and her eyes grew wide. " NO!," she yelled. A beam of white light was shinning down from the sky, destroying the mountain that Lei Magnus, the man who had once held a piece of Shabernigdo within him, was frozen under. " no! No!! NO!!!!," Filia yelled, " I have to get back to the temple!!!" At that same time. . . Raya was going for a walk. ( actually, she was floating, but that’s beside the point) She had a nagging feeling that something BIG was going to go down soon, but she couldn’t figure out what it was! Hellmaster Phibrizio had given her the day off, and he and Valgarv had gone to a meeting with Gaav-sama. Raya found it very odd that she wasn’t asked (or ordered, it depends on how you look at it) by Phibrizio to come along. Raya sighed. Suddenly, a dragon went zooming by above Raya. She looked up, and saw a huge pink bow tied to the dragon’s tail. " Filia. . . .? I wonder why she didn’t say hi?," Raya wondered, " She was in an awfully big hurry. . . ." Raya turned to see where Filia had come from. " What in L-Sama’s name is that!?," Raya yelled, her normally shut eyes flying open, " Lei Magnus!? Being awakened! No! There is no WAY Otoutosan would pull something this major without me! Or Deep Sea Dolphin, Dynast, and Aunt Xellas, for that matter!," Raya pondered this for a moment, " Maybe he would. . . .I better go check!" The she vanished. Chapter II By the time Filia got back to her temple, tons of other dragons were swarming the place, demanding to know what was going on, and blaming the Mazoku for it. Filia rolled her eyes at that. The whole situation had been going on for a whopping half-hour and the Mazoku were already getting blamed for it. Melgazia, King of the Golden Dragons, had already sent word of a meeting to be held with the Four Dragon Kings. Saijoro was to go, and since he knew of Filia’s ‘friends’ within the high Mazoku ranks, he brought her along. At the meeting. . . . The meeting was a held in a huge, hidden cave that was guarded by magic, and had no entrance. You had to be able to teleport to get in. Luna Inverse, Knight of Ceifeed, looked around the cavern at the assembly. Everyone was here. Good. There was Aqua, the Water Dragon Kind, Lanngourt, the Earth Dragon King, Volabazard, the Fire Dragon King, and Barluwin, the Air Dragon King. Then you had the ‘lessors’, as Luna dubbed them in her mind, Melgazia, the King of the Golden Dragons and Saijoro, leader of one of the higher temples. He’d brought Filia along for one reason or another. Luna would ask about that later, she supposed, but now, it was time to start the meeting. " Okay, guys and gals, since Shabernigdo had NOT officially been resurrected, reborn, or what ever ya wanna call it, Ceifeed says that y’all are in charge," Luna said, " When, and IF, Shabby shows his big, nasty, evil, ext., ext. self, Ceifeed will take charge. Till then, chow!" " Wait, Luna," Volabazard said, " Aren’t you going to stay and help us?" " Can’t! I’m late for work! But I’ll show up if y’all need me or call," Luna winked, " But only call if it’s an emergency!," then she vanished. " So, now what?," Aqua asked. " War," Barluwin sighed, " This may be the Mazoku’s doing. Perhaps they know more about Lei Magnus then we do." " War! I do not think we have enough information to declare war," Lanngourt said. " It’s a good enough excuse for me! Okay, so maybe Lei Magnus is harmless, but then again maybe he has another piece of Ruby Eye in him! Why else would the Mazoku bother waking him?," Melgazia asked. " We do not know that it is the Mazoku waking him," Aqua pointed out, much to Filia’s relief. " But what about the abominations?," Saijoro asked. " Abominations? What would they have to do with this?," Aqua asked, " and who are they?" " Valgarv, Vallos and Xelterria," Saijoro sneered, " Half dragon, half Mazoku abominations! They are Ancient Dragons at that! Maybe they know something we do not." " You have not spoken, Volabazard," Barluwin sighed. " I would like to hear Filia’s opinion first." " M-my opinion, Volabazard-sama?," Filia asked. " Hai." " Well, if this IS a Mazoku plot, we should find out for sure before striking, ne?," Filia said, " If we started a war, and it wasn’t necessary, tons of lives would be lost. Plus, I know a few of the higher ranking Mazoku, mostly Generals and Priests-" " WHAT?," Melgazia howled. " Silence!," Volabazard roared, " Filia?" " My son, Valgarv, his wife, and their two children are the only Mazoku I really care for," Filia explained, actually, she liked Kosha a lot too, but she didn’t think Melgazia would be happy to hear that one, and Volabazard had already asked her mentally of the Mazoku she cared for, and Kosha’s name was on that list, " As I was saying, I think they know as little about this as we do." " Very good, young one," Volabazard smiled, " I also think that we should find out for sure if the Mazoku are behind this before declaring war. I suggest we send a scouting party to the mountain to investigate. Dose everyone agree?," Volabazard asked, everyone nodded, " Pray to L-Sama that this isn’t the start of another war." Meanwhile at Gaav’s castle. . . . Phibrizio and Gaav were discussing the mater of Lina Inverse’s descendents. Valgarv, Vallos, and Xelterria stood silently by as the Lords talked. Until Raya burst in, that is. " Hey guys! You know anything about Lei Magnus?," she demanded. " Aneki!?," Phibrizio asked, " What are you doing here? And who gives a you know what about Lei Magnus?" " So you don’t know! He’s being awakened!" " What?!,’ Gaav and Phibrizio yelled at the same time. " Come see for yourselves!," Raya yelled as she tugged on Phibrizio’s arm. " We’re coming, we’re coming!," Phibrizio said as Raya released his arm, grabbed his hand instead and proceeded to drag him off. Gaav gave him an odd look and Phibrizio shrugged helplessly. " Come on," Gaav told Xelterria and Vallos. " You come to Val!," Phibrizio hollered back from down the hall. " Do you think Mom’s gone nuts?," Vallos asked Xelterria. " No. Mom’s not nuts. She’s a fruitcake like Grandpa Xellos," Xelterria giggled. " I heard that!," Raya yelled. Outside. . . . " For Ruby Eye’s sake, he is being awakened!," Gaav gasped. " Told you!," Raya giggled. " Who could do that?!," Vallos asked. " Bet you the dragons think it’s us," Gaav snickered as he lit up a cigarette and offered one to Xelterria, who took on as well., " It’s your call, Phibrizio." " Gaav, go tell Deep Sea Dolphin, Valgarv and Raya, go tell Dynast, Vallos and Xelterria, go tell Xellas," Phibrizio sighed, he was still staring at the light. " What are you going to do?," Gaav asked. " Get a group of Mazoku together and have them go see what the hell is going on on that mountain!," Phibrizio said as he vanished. " How come I get the feeling we are all in really, really big trouble?," Xelterria asked with a sigh. Chapter II Of course, it was inevitable that the two groups would run into each other, and it was also a no brainer that they would blame each other for what was going on. . . . The group of dragons saw the Mazoku first. " Mazoku scum! We knew you were behind this!," the dragon leader yelled. " Oh shut up you stupid scaly freaks! We came to find out what’s causing this!," the Mazoku leader yelled back. " Yeah right, and I’m Luna Inverse!" " Hello Luna!" " Shut up! We know you’re all lying!" " We’re not (for once) and you make us shut up!" " Maybe we will!" After several smart remarks from both sides, a battle started. By luck, (or just plain old coincidence) both sides only had ten members. In the end, only the leaders of the scouting parties got out alive, and they were both fatally wounded. . . . At the dragon’s meeting. . . . The leader of the dragon’s scouting party stumbled in. " Gods!," Filia screamed. " What happened?," Aqua asked. " Mazoku. . . .," the leader coughed then he died. " WAR!," Melgazia roared. " Filia, go get Luna. The we will vote on weather or not to declare war," Volabazard sighed. " Vote! Vote?! Those filthy Mazoku have just killed ten Golden Dragons for no reason!!!," Saijoro yelled. " Like you slaughtered the Ancients, ne?," Luna sneered as she appeared, " Now we vote!" At Phibrizio’s palace. . . Gaav, Phibrizio, and their priests and generals were awaiting the return of the scouting party. " They’re taking long enough," Gaav snorted. That’s when the leader of the Mazoku scouting party appeared. " Well?," Phibrizio demanded. " Dragons. . . ," the leader choked. Then she died. " Well, well," Phibrizio grinned, " You four go tell Xellas, Deep Sea Dolphin, and Dynast of this," he told Raya, Valgarv, Xelterria, and Vallos, " We will meet at Mazoku Domain." " Hai, Phibrizio-sama," Valgarv and Raya said as they vanished. Xelterria and Vallos looked at Gaav. " Do as he says," Gaav told them. " Hai, Gaav-sama," they said as they vanished as well, most likely to wherever their parents went. " It’s about time we had some action around here!," Gaav said with a yawn. " We don’t know that for sure yet," Phibrizio said, " We all decide if we will declare war or not." " Like I said, it’s about time for some action!," Gaav smiled. Both he and Phibrizio had a good laugh over that. " We better get going," Phibrizio smiled. Then he and Gaav disappeared. Back at the dragon’s. . . " War! WAR!," Filia yelled, smoke was practically coming out of her ears, and she had fangs, " No! I refuse to fight! My son and grandchildren and Generals and Priests! I refuse to hurt them!!!!" " Okay," Luna shrugged, " I’m sure they’ll feel the same way about ‘cha. You can play diplomat." Blink, blink, " Really Luna-chan!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!," Filia smiled and hugged Luna. " Go make sure it’s okay with the Mazoku, " Luna said, " We need to start discussing a strategy." At Mazoku Domain. . . . " So, should we declare war on the dragons?," Phibrizio asked. " They’ll just blame it all on us an declare war," Xellas said and crossed her arms over her chest, " So why not declare war on them for a change?" " Xellas has a point," Deep Sea sighed, " Pus I’ve been board lately anyway." " Same here. We could use some action," Gaav said, " I’m not sure I even know how to fight anymore!" " Why not? There will be war no mater what we decide," Dynast yawned. " War it is then," Phibrizio grinned evilly. " Mother. . . ," Valgarv whispered. " Nani?," Phibrizio asked. " My Mother," Valgarv said, " She needs to talk to us." " Let’s see what Filia-chan has to say," Xellos grinned and Kosha thumped him in the back of the head. " Yes, let her in, Phibrizio," Xellas smiled. Suddenly Filia stood by the door. " Nani? Where am I?," Filia asked as she looked around in a daze. Then she noticed that she was surrounded by all of the Mazoku Hierarchy except Shabernigdo and L-Sama, " Oh boy. . . ." " Well?," Phibrizio yawned. " Well what?," Filia asked, now mostly worried for her life. " Valgarv said you needed to talk with us," Dynast said in a very bored voice. " Hai," Filia said, " The dragons have decided to declare war and-" " Ha! Told you we’d get blamed for this mess," Gaav yelled. " Well, there goes declaring war on them first for a change," Xellos sighed. " You were saying, Filia?," Phibrizio asked, a tiny hint of curiosity shining in his green eyes. " Uh, Luna-chan, she uh, said that I don’t have to fight in the war-" " Really!," Valgarv, Kosha, Raya, Vallos and Xelterria all yelled at the same time. " Thank L-Sama," Valgarv added under his breath. " Hai!," Filia smiled, " She said I can ‘play diplomat’. A go between if you will," she explained, " If you agree to it that is." " I don’t care," Phibrizio said, " What do you think?" " Filia-chan is always amusing," Xellos smiled. Filia’s mace planted itself in his face in under a second. Xellos grinned, " See what I mean?" " Mazoku namo-," Filia started to yell, but Vallos and Xelterria tackled her before she could finish. " Why not? Kosha seams to like her, and that mace is a nice touch," Xellas smiled. " I don’t mind," Dynast said, " But she is a dragon. If she messes up our plans, we kill her." " I’m with Dynast!," Deep Sea yelled. Filia gulped and paled. " I don’t really care either way," Gaav shrugged, " but seeing Xellos get creamed by a mace is interesting. . . ." " Filia, go back to your. . . .masters and tell them we accept you as a ‘diplomat’," Phibrizio said, " Any other dragon we see is our mortal enemy and will be killed, and if your people learn to much of what we are planning, it will be your hide." " H-hai Phibrizio-sama," Filia stammered. " Be careful, mother," Valgarv smiled at her. " I will," Filia promised. " Oh, before you go," Phibrizio asked, " what were you about to call Xellos? ‘Mazoku what’?" Filia, Valgarv, Raya, Kosha, Vallos, and Xelterria all turned a few shades paler and sweat dropped. Filia began to shake. Xellos just giggled. " Oh, come on Filia-chan!!!! You always call me that! Most often when I annoy you, as I am doing now! Come on throw your mace at me, and call me the lovely little nickname you’ve called me ever since the day we meet!!!!!," Xellos giggled. Filia couldn’t take it anymore, " YOU STUPID MAZOKU NAMOGOMI!!!! I HATE YOU!!!!," she screamed as she began to chase Xellos around the war room table, her mace held over her head like a club. " Ah, now there’s the Filia-chan I know and love!," Xellos giggled, man this was fun!, " You know I never knew dragons were so violent!" " SHUT UP YOU NAMOGOMI!!!!!!!!!!!" " This is far more entertaining then I expected," Xellas giggled. " If you enjoy being called namogomi," Dynast said. " Mom! Calm down!," Valgarv yelled, " This is not the time and it is DEFINITLY NOT the place to be calling Xellos ‘namogomi’ and trying to kill him!" " Oh, she can try and kill him all she wants, and I hope she succeeds too, it’s just the whole ‘namogomi’ thing that’s getting to me," Phibrizio grinned, and Raya glared at him, " Nani?," he asked her. " He is my father, Otoutosan," Raya said. " Oh yeah, sorry, Aneki," Phibrizio giggled. " Xellos is the only Mazoku I consider ‘namogomi’!," Filia said as she continued to chase him, " Quite frankly, all the other Mazoku I know aren’t near as annoying and mean to me as Xellos is!" " It also helps that Xellos was the first Mazoku she ever meet," Kosha pointed out, " and her opinion of our race has changed drastically since that time. But first impressions do last, and Xellos does egg her on quite a bit." " You have a point," Phibrizio mussed, " Filia, get out of here before I change my mind about you being our diplomat." " And he skins you alive," Xellos grinned. " NA. MO. GOMI!!!!!!!!!!!," Filia screamed, swung her mace, and hit Xellos through a stain glass window behind Phibrizio’s chair. (And Xellos had been across the room when she hit him, and it was at least two hundred feet to the window) " I give that a ‘ten’," Phibrizio giggled, " You know, I rather like you, Filia." " Thank you Phibrizio-sama!," Filia smiled as she vanished. Chapter III " Now what? We’re at war. Big deal," Deep Sea sighed. " I don’t know!," Phibrizio shrugged, " It’s been over a thousand years since we’ve done this. Kill dragons, I suppose." " That much is obvious," Dynast said, " Perhaps we should find out where the dragons are going to pin their main forces, and concentrate on eliminating them?," he suggested. Before anyone could respond, the heavy iron war room door slowly creaked open, and a little girl walked in. Everyone was to stunned to say anything. She looked to be about five or six, and had blackish blue hair that fell to just below her shoulders and big light green eyes. She had on a blue and white dress that cut off above her knees, and white boots that came up to just above her ankles. Most of her hair was held back with a big blue bow. Tucked under one arm was a Shabernigdo doll. " Anyway," Phibrizio said, continuing on with the conversation as if the girl hadn’t entered the room, " Who will find out where the dragons are?" While Phibrizio had been talking, the girl had circled the table and stopped by Gaav’s chair. To everyone’s surprise, she climbed up into his lap. Gaav pushed his chair away from the table and stood up. The girl landed on her butt on the floor. She jumped up and kicked Gaav in the shin. " You’re mean!" she howled. Then she stuck her tongue out a Gaav. In response, Gaav blasted the glass ceiling of the war room and chunked the girl up through a now huge hole in the war room’s ceiling. Phibrizio’s eyes flashed an evil red, " GAAV!!!," Phibrizio yelled, " That was my daughter you just threw through the ceiling!!!!" " Daughter?," Xellas wondered as the girl came back through the ceiling and crashed on top of Dynast. " Phibby! Are you okay?," Phibrizio asked. " Hai, Daddy," Phibby smiled as she pulled herself up off of Dynast. " Phibby? Dynast wondered, " Oh, that’s original Phibrizio. Who’s her mother? Raya?" " NO!!!," Raya howled. Phibrizio was ignoring everyone but Gaav, who he was screaming at, " I should blast you all the way to the dragon’s HQ! They’ll treat you real nice there, I’m sure!" " I didn’t know she was your daughter!," Gaav argued. Phibby had climbed up onto Gaav’s chair and grabbed hold of Gaav’s hair with one hand, and his shoulder with the other. Everyone cringed as the spunky little girl hoisted herself up onto Gaav’s shoulder. " Daddy, don’t hurt Gaav-sama! I like him!," Phibby grinned as she squeezed her doll, " and so does Shabby!" " Phibby, my little love, he threw you through the ceiling! I’m not going to let him off! Now move so I can knock him through several walls with a Hellblast!," Phibrizio said. " No!," Phibby yelled and crossed her arms over her chest, " Gaav-sama is my new best friend," she said and stuck her tongue out at her father. Phibrizio blinked, " Excuse me?" Raya, Valgarv, Xelterria, Vallos, and Kosha were all giggling like maniacs. They all knew Phibby before this little escapade, and knew that when Phibby wanted something, she got it. " Best friend?," Gaav gulped. Xelterria fell out of her chair with laughter. " Hai!," Phibby smiled. Deep Sea Dolphin couldn’t take it anymore, " KAWAII!!!!!!! She is sooooo cute!!!," she yelled, " I could just love her to death!!! Are you sure she’s your daughter, Phibrizio?" Raya, Valgarv, Kosha and Vallos joined Xelterria on the floor. All five of them had tears rolling down their faces, and Xelterria looked close to passing out. " Yes!," Phibrizio roared. " Who’s her mother?," Gaav asked, " She is kinda cute. . . " Phibby just smiled her cutest grin and Gaav melted. Sherra, on the other hand, looked close to losing her lunch. " She doesn’t have one," Phibrizio muttered, " I created her." " Why?," Dynast asked. " That is none of your business," Phibrizio snapped, " and will the five of you get up? It wasn’t that funny!" " Sorry," Kosha said between giggles as she and the others pulled themselves off the floor. " You five knew Phibby?," Deep Sea asked. " Of course!," Raya said, " Valgarv and I live with her for Ruby Eye’s sake! Mom, Vallos and Xelterria come by a lot too." " I’ve seen Xellas-sama and Gaav-sama a few times," Phibby smiled. " How old is she?," Xellas asked. " Five," Phibrizio answered. " You created her as a baby!," Dynast chuckled. " Kawaii!," Deep Sea giggled, " But why?" " I had my reasons," Phibrizio asked, " And I’m tired of this game of twenty questions! We have a war to fight!" " War? Can I play Daddy?," Phibby giggled. She was still on Gaav’s shoulder as he sat down. " No, Phibby. This is not a game!," Phibrizio said, " Now go back to your room and play. We have things to do now." " Okay Daddy," Phibby sighed as she hopped off Gaav’s shoulder, " See you later, Gaav-sama!," she giggled as she skipped out of the war room. Phibrizio smiled evilly at Gaav, " It looks like you have a new best friend, ne?" " Why me?," Gaav muttered to himself. Chapter IV " So Filia, they accepted you as a diplomat?," Volabazard asked. " Hai!" " Good," Lanngourt smiled, " Now, go back to your temple, and wait for us to give word for you to go back to the Mazoku. You can not listen in at these meetings for obvious reasons." " Of course, Lanngourt-sama," Filia said as she walked out of the meeting hall, and ran smack into Valgarv. " Valgarv!," Filia hissed, " What are you doing here?" " I came to see if you’re feeling all right!," Valgarv said, " Xellos is the only Mazoku you consider ‘namogomi’?" " No," Filia said sheepishly, " I consider all Mazoku, expressly the five Lords, namogomi. All Mazoku except you, Raya, Vallos, Xelterria and Kosha, that is. . . I just said that Xellos was the only one so they wouldn’t kill me and I could get out of fighting in the war. . . ." " Okay, that’s more like you!," Valgarv laughed, " You know, you’re acting just like a Mazoku, lying like that!" " Nani!," Filia yelled and fainted. " Mom! Mom!," Valgarv yelled as he shook her, " Oh well, I’m sorry Mom, but duty calls, I’ll stop by later, promise," Valgarv told the still unconscious Filia, kissed her cheek and vanished. Back in the war room on Mazoku Domain. . . . " Were you able to track her?," Phibrizio asked Valgarv as he reappeared. " Yep! Right to the outside of the Dragon’s meeting hall," Valgarv laughed. " Is Filia okay?," Kosha asked, she was also suspicious about the whole Xellos thing. " Yeah," Valgarv grinned, " She’s just happy not to be fighting in the war, and that we didn’t kill her." " Anyway," Gaav said, " Can you get into the meeting hall?" " I think I can, since my presence is hidden because of my Ancient Dragon powers, but I’m not so sure about the others." " Can you cast a spell to hide them too?," Xellas asked. " Probably," Valgarv shrugged, " I should be able too." " Okay, then you, Kosha, Sherra, Xelterria and Siren will go and spy on the dragons meeting and see if you can learn where the dragons main forces will be," Dynast said. " Hai, Dynast-sama," the five said simultaneously as they vanished. " As for the rest of you, Daksha and Raya, you go get the newest map you can find, and set it up in here," Phibrizio said. " Hai!," Raya giggled. " Uh, yo-you want me to work with h-her?," Daksha said in a meek voice as his deep sea foam green eyes widened as big as they could, " Can’t I just wait for Siren to get back and go with her?" " No! Phibrizio gave you and order and you follow it! Raya won’t bite! Get going!," Deep Sea yelled. " Hai, Deep Sea Dolphin-sama," Daksha whimpered. Then he and Raya vanished. " Why is he your Priest? He is so. . . ..pathetic!," Xellas said. " He’s smart! He’s probably the smartest out of all the Generals and Priests, but Siren is an overbearing shrew and yells at him and calls him names every time he speaks up, so he’s scared of everyone now. It’s sad really," Deep Sea sighed. " Then get rid of Siren, she’s a total imbecile," Dynast said. " Anyway, Xellos and Grau, go get Changer, Rezo, and Lei Rezo. Perhaps they know more of Lei Magnus then we do," Xellas said. The two men nodded and vanished. " Grou and Vallos, go see if you can find Lei Magnus," Gaav said, " The others will join your search as they return." Soon. . . . " We have all of the locations we need, right?," Kosha whispered. She and her group had been listing in on the dragons meeting unnoticed thanks to a nifty spell Valgarv has cast. " I think so. Aqua has the sea boarders, and her main force is in the North," Valgarv whispered. " Volabazard has the eastern lands. His main force is on the Eastern Mountains," Sherra murmured. " Lanngourt has the South. His main force is on the South Plain," Siren giggled. " Shut-up!," the others all hissed in a whisper. " Barluwin has the West. His main force is on the Sky Cliffs," Xelterria whispered with a smile. " Then to top it off, Melgazia and Saijoro have the center of the continent. They also have a force of Golden Dragons and small squads from each of the Dragon King’s armies with them," Kosha whispered. " Luna travels around from place to place," Sherra added in a low voice, " Let’s go." The five of them vanished simultaneously from their hiding place in the Dragon’s meeting room. Volabazard smiled to himself as they disappeared. At least the Mazoku were on top of things as well. . . . Meanwhile. . . . " Daksha, what is your problem! We have a simple assignment, ne?," Raya giggled as she floated next to Deep Sea’s Priest. She was upside down as usual. " Hai." " Do you know of any good map shops?" " I know where the best map in the world is," he muttered in a barley audible tone. " Where?" " The Dragon’s Palace." " Hmmm. . . ..that could present a problem," Raya sighed as she turned right side up and set her feet on the ground. " It’s in the old library. We could get in and out without causing a big ruckus, I think." " Really!!! That’s great!!!! Why didn’t you say so right away?! Come on!," Raya laughed. " You’re not going to yell at me? Or call me an idiot?," Daksha asked, bewildered. " No! You’ve made out assignment so much easier! If we get the best map in the world, out masters may reward us!" Daksha blinked at Raya. Then the vanished. At Rezo’s Tower. . . . " Lei Magnus has been awakened!!!!," Rezo, Changer and Lei Rezo all yelled together. " By who?," Rezo added. " Sore wa himitsu desu!!!!" " We don’t know," Grau rolled his silver eyes. " Well, you are to take us back to Mazoku Domain, ne?," Changer grinned, " Let’s be off!" " Yeah, I want to see Kosha," Lei Rezo smiled. " Let’s go then," Xellos grinned his happy grin™. " That was easy," Grau smiled to himself as they vanished. In a nearby town. . . . " Where in L-Sama’s name could he be!," Grou yelled, " It hasn’t even been a DAY yet and he’s already missing!" " Calm down! It’s almost dusk. The streets are clearing, and once night falls, I can fly without causing too much chaos. It wont be that hard to find him," Vallos rolled his eyes. " Um, excuse me," a silky male voice asked from behind the two men. Vallos and Grou whirled around to see none other then Lei Magnus himself standing before them, " Could you tell me what year it is, perhaps? Oh, aren’t you Grou, one of Dynast’s Priests?" " Hai, Lei-sama," Grou smiled, " We’ve been looking for you." " The Lords wish to speak with you," Vallos added. " Really? I suppose a trip to Mazoku Domain won’t kill me. On the way, could you kindly tell me what in bloody hell is going on!?," Lei Magnus asked as they vanished. Chapter V " We’re back!," Raya sang as she and Daksha appeared in the war room. Raya had a huge rolled up map in her hand. " So soon? What did you do? Grab the first map you saw?," Dynast snorted. " Nope, Dynast-sama!," Raya giggled, " Thanks to Daksha-who is an excellent partner, might I add, let me work with him again, Otoutosan!" " Thanks to Daksha. . . .," Deep Sea Dolphin prompted. " Oh! Thanks to Daksha, we got the best map in the world!," Raya said, " and thanks to Daksha’s knowledge of the Dragons HQ, we sneaked in, and stole it from right under big, scaly, lizard’s noses!" " You got the Dragon’s Map!?!," all five lords yelled in shock at once. " Hai. . . .is that bad?," Daksha asked. " Bad? Bad!," Deep Sea giggled, " No! It’s wonderful! This map has and enchantment of it, and anytime anything on the map changes, the map automatically changes itself!" " Great work," Phibrizio smiled, " Let’s see it, Aneki." Raya smiled and unrolled the map on the war room table. " This is actually it! The Dragon’s Map!," Gaav laughed, " They’re gonna spaz when they notice it’s gone. How did you two ever pull this off?" " It was all Daksha! He knew where it was, the best way to get in and out, and he even knew a spell to hide out magical presence to the dragons couldn’t sense us!," Raya smiled. " Look who we found," Vallos grinned as he, Grou and Lei Magnus appeared. " Hello," Lei Magnus smiled, " I understand you want a word with me?" " More then a word, Lei-sama," Phibrizio smiled. " You sent whom after him?," Changer’s voice demanded from outside the war room doors. " Grou and Vallos, I believe," Xellos said as he opened the doors, then he, Changer, Rezo, Lei Rezo, and Grau walked in. " We’re the third one’s back?," Grau wondered as they walked in. " Lei-sama found us," Vallos laughed. " Hello all!," Kosha said as she and her comrades appeared, " Told you we would be the last one’s back!" " Well?," Xellas asked. " We got all the information on the Dragons five, yes FIVE, main forces," Valgarv smiled, " Are we good or what?" " So, that’s Lei Magnus?," Xelterria asked, " Does he know he’s surrounded by family?" " Nani?," Lei Magnus asked. " Let me explain," Rezo said and told Lei Magnus of his rather. . . .unique descendants. " So let me get this straight," Lei Magnus said, " You, Rezo, are one of my direct descendants, and you are married to Changer. Kosha is Changer’s daughter, but you are not her father, but you’ve taken her in as your own. Lei Rezo is your and Changer’s son. Kosha has two daughters, Raya and Zela. Zela’s father, Zelgadis, is your grandson. Raya’s father is Xellos. Zela has a son Narse, and a daughter, Rezurla. Raya has a son, Vallos, and a daughter, Xelterria. Is that everyone?" " Hai!," Raya grinned, she was floating upside down. " What about me, Aneki?," Phibrizio giggled. " Oh, yes, Phibrizio is my Otoutosan." " Okay. . . ..," Lei Magnus sighed. " Someone summarize the whole ‘Phibrizio Saga’ for Lei," Dynast yawned. Xellos complied and managed to compile over fifty years of events into ten minutes. " I really, really need to get caught up on the past thousand years," Lei Magnus laughed, " So, my awakening has caused a war? I’m flattered." " Who woke you?," Lei Rezo asked. " The Lord if Nightmares of course! And as far as I know, there is no piece of Shabernigdo in me." " You didn’t think so the first time around, and neither did Rezo," Phibrizio said with a yawn, he looks over at Valgarv," Hey, Valgarv-" " I’m NOT Valgarv!!!," Vallos yelled as he whirled around, " Dad left like ten freaking minutes ago!" Phibrizio blinked, then he glared at Vallos, " You are so lucky I care weather you live or die! You and your father look identical from behind for L-Sama’s sake!!!!" " Sorry, Phibrizio-chan." " You better be," Phibrizio muttered, " Anyway, where’s Valgarv?" " I’m right here. Valgarv said as he walked in. " As I was saying, Val, what did you learn of the Dragons?," Phibrizio asked, then he turned to Changer, Lei Rezo, Rezo and Lei Magnus, " I take it you four are on our side in all of this?" " Of course," Rezo nodded. " Why not? With my bloody luck, I do have a piece of Shabernigdo in me, so I’ll end up on your side anyway, ne?," Lei Magnus chuckled, and everyone else laughed. " Do you want us to mark on the map where the Dragon forces will be?," Sherra asked. Phibrizio smiled and held his hand out over the table, under them, a black onyx box appeared. " Use these," Phibrizio said as he carefully opened the box. Inside were little figurines of the Mazoku Lords, the Dragon Kings, and several other important people. The Dragon Kings were made out of gold, the Mazoku Lords in silver, Shabernigdo was a ruby, Ceifeed was a sapphire, and L-Sama was a diamond. The generals and priests were made of jade, and Luna was in quartz. Other important Dragons, Mazoku and people were in copper. " Pretty!," Raya gasped, " Even Phibby has a piece!" " You notice she’s in sliver," Grou snickered under his breath. " Put the pieces on the map," Phibrizio told them. " Where did you get those? I want a set," Xellas said as she examined her figurine. " I made them! It was Phibby’s idea, actually," Phibrizio smiled. The five that had been on the spying mission, placed the figures on the map where the Dragon King’s forces would be, " Interesting," Phibrizio sighed as he looked over the map, " Deep Sea Dolphin, you concentrate on Aqua. I’ll handle Volabazard. Gaav, Lanngourt is yours to deal with. Dynast, Barluwin should be no problem for you. Xellas, Melgazia and Saijoro will be no mach for your army I’m sure." " What about us?," Rezo asked. " You four will stay here on Mazoku Domain for the duration of the war, as will Phibby." " And what about us?," a tiny voice giggled from the floor. Everyone looked down. " Pika-baby!? Raichu!?," Raya yelled. " No, it’s L-Sama and Shabby-sama!," Pika-baby laughed as she and Raichu jumped up on the table. " Raichu chu Rai chu chu," Raichu shook his head. " He said he figured he get a better greeting after being ‘dead’ for years!," Kosha laughed. " Obviously, they aren’t dead!," Changer laughed, " I missed you, you little electric rodents!" " How?," Valgarv asked. " I made them immortal soon after I became a Mazoku. They live on Wolf Pack Island with me, and since we’re all going to be here for a while, I brought them along," Kosha said as Pika-baby jumped up on Rezo’s shoulder. " Good to have you back," Phibrizio smiled, " I remember you from when I was Aurizlious," he smiled, " Now, we need to assemble our armies. " What of Luna Inverse?," Dynast asked. " She travels from army to army, Dynast-sama," Sherra said. " Raichu chu chu Raichu Rai?" " Nope," Kosha said. " What did he ask?," Xellos asked his wife. " He wanted to know if there was a Knight of Shabernigdo." " We need one, and I’ve known who it was since the day I meet her," Phibrizio smiled. " Who?," Gaav asked. " Changer, you need a job?" " I’m the Knight of Shabernigdo?," Changer whispered, then she fainted into Rezo’s arms. " Good one, Otoutosan!," Raya rolled her eyes. To be continued. . . . . . Phibrizio: To be continued!!!! You’ve never done that before. . . Viv: Get over it, I’m continuing now, aren’t I? Xellos: Yes, and you’ve finally reveled yourself as an Ancient Dragon too, and letting all of us call you ‘Viv.’ Valgarv: Uh, Viv, there’s some tall guy in black armor is at the door to see you. . . . Viv: Oh! That would be Ashram, he’s an old friend of mine! Bring him in here. Phibrizio: Ashram? I’ve never heard of him. Viv: You don’t have to know all of my friends, do you? Xellos: He should, he is your boyfriend, after all. Phibrizio and Viv: WE’RE NOT DATING!!!!!! Xellos: Yet. . . .*snicker* Viv: HELLBLAST!!!!! Xellos: See, you even use his spells! Phibrizio: Shut-up before I- Valgarv: Phibrizio, if your going to kill Xellos, do it when my little sister doesn’t have company. Ashram: What are you typing, Viv? Phibrizio: He knew you were and Ancient Dragon, and we didn’t!!!!!! Viv: You do have a point, right. . . . Xellos: Isn’t he the guy that tried to kill me beloved Kosha in ‘Slayers: Ironic’? Viv: Hai. . . .I had to throw someone in, and Ashram said it was okay to use his name. Xellos: Oh. . . . Phibrizio: Viv, you gotta finish this story! Ashram, I’m afraid you’re going to have to come back later. . . ..*pushes Ashram out of the room* Xellos: Awwww!!!!! You’re boyfriend is jealous!!!!!! Viv: Darkness beyond twilight, crimson beyond blood that flows. . . . Xellos: Okay, okay you’re not dating! Viv: Thank you! Now, before I kill someone, why don’t you go distract Phibrizio before Ashram gets pissed and decides to use the Demon Sword. Val: That’s the Demon Sword! It could beat Phibrizio up, couldn’t it? Viv: I’m not sure, and before we find out, go tie Phibrizio up and put him somewhere, and let Ashram back in. *Viv goes back to typing* Xellos: That’s not a very nice thing to do to your boyfriend! Viv: Buried in the flow of time. . . . Xellos: Sorry! I’m going!!!! Val: Viv, you are evil, you know that? Viv: Thanks, bro! Chapter VI Weeks passed by in a flash, battles raged. Mazoku died, Dragons died, and humans died. Changer learned to use her powers as the Knight of Shabranigdo, and she and Luna had many confrontations. Then, during one particular bloody battle, it happened. . . . The battle was a normal one, except for the amount of casualties on both sides. Phibrizio’s, Gaav’s, and Xellas’s forces were banded together against a group of Molgazia’s, Volabazard’s and Lanngourt’s on the Southern Plain. Xellas and Gaav were at Mazoku domain, so Phibrizio was the only Lord present, and none of the Dragon Kings were there. Xellos, Vallos, and Xelterria were the only Priests and General present at the current battle, the others all had other tasks to attend to at the present moment. " The battle is almost over," Vallos grinned, " We’ve won this round, ne?" " Don’t be so sure, brother! There are twenty-five of the them, and only twenty of us. . . not that it really matters!," Xelterria laughed as she launched a Gaav Flair, " I’m going up! Let’s see how these lizards like the Dragon Slave!" Vallos grinned as his sister took to the air. He saw Phibrizio hovering high above the battle, ordering the few members of the army that were left. Xellos was toying with the dragons, as he always did before taking care of them. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a dragon casting a spell he didn’t recognize at Xelterria. " Nothing she can’t handle," he muttered and began to cast a high powered Gaav Flair. Then he heard a sound he’d only heard once before, Xelterria screaming in pain. Vallos looked up in time to see one of Xelterria’s wings literally disintegrate, then she began to fall. " Die, Mazoku sum!," the dragon that had fired the spell roared, right before Phibrizio killed it. " XELTERRIA!!!!!!," Vallos screamed and caught his sister before she hit the ground. " Vallos. . . ," Xelterria coughed, " If I die, please tell Gaav-sama, that I love him. . . ..," she whispered. Then she went limp in her brother’s arms. " NO!!!!!! XELTERRIA!!!!!!," Vallos howled in anguish. His eyes turned blood red as he glared with pure hate at the dragons, his cheeks were already wet with tears. Slowly, he got up, still cradling Xelterria in his arms, and walked to the front line, where he carefully set his sister’s still form down in front of him. Then he drew his sword and held it to the sky. " What in the hell. . . .," Phibrizio wondered, " Xellos! Get up here!" " Hai, Phibrizio-sama?" " Look." " What is he. . . L-Sama!" " Exactly. . . .," Phibrizio said gravely as he and Xellos watched a now insane Vallos from hundreds of feet in the air. With hot, salty tears streaming down his face, Vallos began to chant, " Darkness beyond blackness pitch, Deeper then the deepest night, King of Darkness who shines like gold upon the Sea of Chaos, I call upon thee and swear myself to thee! Let the fools who stand before us be destroyed by the power you and I posses! GIGA SLAVE!!!!!!!" " OH SHIT!!!!," Phibrizio and Xellos yelled in unison as the shock wave hit them as well, and they were both flung to the ground by the power. Phibrizio groaned as he sat up, and looked around. Nothing. . . a waste land. . . he saw Xellos’s still form a few feet away, and beyond him, he saw two other forms, that he assumed were Vallos and Xelterria. Baka! What kind of idiot casts the Giga Slave, of all spells, against an opponent he could kill with a high powered Gaav Flair or Hellblast? Phibrizio pulled himself to his feet and half walked, half stumbled over to the Trickster Priest. Then he kicked Xellos in the gut. " What in gay hell?!," Xellos roared as he woke up, " Oh, sorry Phibrizio-sama. What happened?" " ‘Gay hell’?," Phibrizio asked and raised an eyebrow, that was a new one, " As for what happened, Vallos cast the Giga Slave, and annihilated everyone. Dragons and Mazoku alike, the baka!" " Where is my Grandson?" " Over there, I think Xelterria’s with him," Phibrizio said as he and Xellos walked over. Then he saw Xelterria, " Oh. My. God. . . ." " Is..is she dead?," Xellos managed to stammer. " I. . . .no. She’s alive. . . .barely. . . . I think I’ve got enough energy to heal her, I got pretty beat up from that Giga Slave," Phibrizio said as he went to work. One of Xelterria’s wings was gone, the other one was broken and twisted beyond recognition, and she had several serious cuts, and her bones here even sticking out through the skin in some places. " Vallos is just unconscious, thank L-Sama for small favors, ne?," Xellos said. " That’s all I can do. She’s still pretty beat up. . . ," Phibrizio sighed, " We need to get them both back to Mazoku Domain. . . Changer and Rezo are there. They can pick up where I left off." " Let’s go, then." Soon. . . " Changer!," Phibrizio yelled. " What?," Changer asked, " Oh boy. . . ." " Help her! Get Rezo and Lei Magnus too!!!!!" " Lei’s not here! But Rezo is. Take her to her room! Rezo and I will be there in a flash!" Later. . . Xellos had gotten word to Kosha, Raya, Valgarv, and Gaav about Xelterria, and Vallos had woken up. Presently, Gaav, Raya, Valgarv, Vallos, Xellos, Kosha and Phibrizio all stood outside of Xelterria’s room, where Rezo and Changer were healing her. Val was holding Raya, who was sobbing, and Xellos was holding Kosha. Vallos was sitting in a chair holding his head in his hands. Gaav was leaning against a wall, smoking, no one was quite sure how he was feeling. Phibrizio was pacing like a caged tiger by the door. " She will be alright," Changer said as she and Rezo quietly exited Xelterria’s room. " She is sleeping and she will need several days rest before she can fight again," Rezo added. " You’re sure she’ll be all right?," Valgarv asked. " Hai," Changer smiled. " Can we see her?," Raya asked. " When she wakes up, of course," Rezo said with a smile. " Look, we have a meeting in a hour, spread the word," Phibrizio said, " We need to discuss how we’re going to cream those scaly freaks now that they’ve hurt my niece!!!!" " You tell em’ Otoutosan!!!!," Raya yelled. Val smiled, Raya’s perkiness was returning now that she knew Xelterria would be okay. " Come on, Vallos," Gaav said, " I have to have a little talk with you about the Giga Slave." " I wasn’t in my right mind, Gaav-sama," Vallos argued as he and Gaav walked down the hall. " I’m glad your sister’s okay," Gaav sighed as soon as they were out of ear shoot of the others. " Glad?" " Vallos, you know it’s more then that!," Gaav snapped. " Yeah, sorry Gaav-sama," Vallos sighed. " Drop the formal act. None of the others are around," Gaav said, " You know don’t you?" " Know what, Gaav?" " That I love her." Vallos almost fainted. " You’re sworn to secrecy about that. You tell anyone, and you’ll be sorry," Gaav added. " Hai," Vallos said. Great! They both loved each other, but he was forbidden to tell! He was going to go insane! Chapter VII A week later. . . . Vallos was sure he was going to go insane. Xelterria had made him swear not to tell anyone she loved Gaav, and Gaav had made his swear not to tell anyone he loved Xelterria. It was driving him over the edge, to see them casually flirt and all that other puppy love junk. If he hadn’t been able to take out his frustrations on the dragons during battle, he was sure he would have killed someone by now. . . .. " Vallos, what is your problem? For the past week, you have been acting nuts!," Changer said, pulling her great-grandson aside. " It’s awful! Trust me, I would tell you, but I can’t!!!!!!!! It’s driving me insane!!!!!!!!!," Vallos whimpered. " Look, if it’s that bad, you have to tell someone or you’re going to go off the deep end, and that would not be good. We can’t have the General of the Chaos Dragon Gaav going nuts on us. So, I swear on my loyalty to Ruby Eye Shabranigdo, that I will not tell a single soul what if bugging the hell out of you, okieday?," Changer said. " Thank you so much!!!!!," Vallos said, " It all started when Xelterria almost got killed. She made me swear to tell Gaav she loved him if she died, but she didn’t, so she made me swear not to tell anyone. Then later that day, Gaav tells me he loves Xelterria, and then he made me swear not to tell anyone! It’s been driving me nuts!!!!" Changer whistled, " Well, now you got if off your chest. Feel better?" " Hai! Thanks so much!," Vallos said, " Remember, you swore not to tell a soul!" " Promise!," Changer smiled as he walked off. Then she smiled evilly, " I promised not to TELL. . . ..I never said anything about playing mach maker!" Meanwhile. . . Filia was ticked. She had been trying to get in to see the Dragon Kings for a week and they still hadn’t let her in! She was tired of this stupid war! Way too many dragons were dying, and to top things off, Xelterria, her granddaughter for L-Sama’s sake, had almost gotten killed. She was going to put a stop to this if she had to kill the Five Lords and the Dragon Kings! Suddenly, the door swung open, and Filia entered the meeting hall. " Yes, Filia?," Volabazard asked. " I think that maybe this war has been going on far to long. . . it’s been almost six months, for crying out loud!," Filia said, " I suggest that you and the Five Mazoku Lords hold a meeting and talk about this." " WHAT!!!!!!," the Dragon Kings, Luna, Sajorio, and Molgazia all yelled. " A meeting between us and the Mazoku to discuss the war!," Aqua laughed. " They’d kill us all, well, try anyway," Molgazia argued. " Shut-up!," Luna yelled, " Maybe it would work. . . .." Everyone blinked. " Filia, go see if you can get the Mazoku to agree to a meetin’, kay?," Luna said. " Hai!," Filia said and scampered off before anyone else could say anything. At Mazoku Domain. . . . Phibrizio had called a meeting of all five lords, their priests and generals, Changer, Lei Rezo, Rezo, Lei Magnus, the Pokemon, and Phibby. The meeting had been well underway for an hour when Raya came in and took her place. Phibrizio didn’t say a word to her for being late. " That’s it!," Deep Sea yelled as she stood up, " I’m tired of Raya being able to do whatever she wants!" " Sit down and shut-up, Dolphin," Phibrizio sighed, " I had given Raya a small mission to complete, and I knew she would be late, that is why I didn’t punish her, and even if this wasn’t the circumstance, I really don’t care what you think." " You big wuss! She has you whipped!," Deep Sea screamed and slammed her fist on the table, " I say we revoke Hellmaster’s authority over us, and-" Deep Sea never finished her sentence. " HELLBLAST!!!!!," Phibrizio roared, and Deep Sea Dolphin went flying threw several walls, and landed in a room she never even knew existed. Phibrizio slowly turned to the others, " Anyone else want to complain about the way I run things?" Suddenly, from outside the war room, Filia’s voice rang, " PHIBRIZIO-SAMA!!!!!!!!!!," she said in a sing- songy voice and burst into the war room. " Hai?" " LunasaysshewantsameetingbetweentheMazokuandthedra gonsand allfiveofyoulordsandyourgeneralsandpriestsplusChangera ndPhibbyand everyoneelsecancometoo!!!!!!," Filia said all in one breath. " Come again," Gaav asked after everyone had finished blinking and trying to make any sense at all out of what Filia had just said. Poor Phibby’s head was spinning as she sat down in her father’s lap. Filia took a deep breath. " Slower, this time, please," Xellas said. Filia explained. " I suppose we can make it," Phibrizio said. Filia squealed like a schoolgirl and vanished. Phibrizio smiled evilly, " This could be FUN!. . . ." Chapter VII The meeting was held in a huge old meeting hall that had been there for as long as Phibrizio could remember (which is safe to say a rather long time). The hall was in the middle of nowhere, and humans didn’t even know the place existed. " So," Phibrizio asked. " We are tired of this foolish war that you started," Barluwin yelled. " WE DIDN’T START IT!!!!!!!! YOU DECALAIRED WAR ON US FIRST!!!!!!!," all five of the Mazoku Lords roared. " Who cares who started it!," Changer yelled, " Let’s just END it." " Gaav isn’t here," Xellas said as she puffed on a cigarette, " We can’t do anything without him." Changer just smiled and giggled to herself. " Xelterria’s gone too," Vallos added. Then he looked at Changer, pure fear shinning in his eyes. Changer just laughed. Vallos whimpered, " I am so DEAD!" " Don’t worry about Gaav-sama," Changer said, " He say’s he’ll go along with whatever you four decide. Oh, Vallos, don’t worry, I didn’t tell, exactly, I just bent the rules a little." " Dead, I tell you, I am DEAD!," Vallos continued to whimper. Meanwhile. . . . " Xelterria! What are you doing here?," Gaav as he entered the courtyard outside of the meeting hall. " Gaav-sama! Changer told me to meet someone here. . . .," Xelterria said. " She told me the same thing." " I guess she wanted us to meet. I wonder why?," Xelterria said. " Heck if I know. Did she tell you anything else?," Gaav asked. " Only that you’d have something to tell me." Gaav blinked at her, " Did she say something more specific?" " Uh, don’t worry about it. It’s silly. . . ," Xelterria mumbled as her face turned scarlet, " I never should have gotten my hopes up. . . ." " What?" " She said feelings. . . ." Gaav almost fainted. He was going to KILL Vallos! In the meeting hall. . . .. Filia was mad again. The war had been called off, much to her relief, but now everyone was chatting like they were old friends! Volabazard was giving Phibby a piggy-back ride, Luna and Raya were trading hair tips, Xellas was discussing manicures with Aqua, and the guys were all smoking and discussing how much longer they thought the human race would last. " Anyway," Phibrizio said as he pulled out a date book, " How does a thousand years sound?" Filia blinked as the rest of the lords and the Dragon Kings also pulled out date books. Molgazia and Sajorio had refused to come along, much to Filia’s relief. " Uh. . . .nope. No good. I have an appointment to have my claws sharpened," Aqua said, " How’s one thousand one hundred sound?" " Not good for me. I’m getting my castle renovated in one thousand fifty years, I doubt it will be done in one thousand one hundred." " What are you talking about?," Filia howled. " When the next war will be, of course," Luna said as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. Filia screamed and morphed dragon, luckily, the hall was big enough to hold her bulk. " Uh, Filia-chan? What is wrong? Would you like a date book too? I have an extra," Xellos grinned. Filia screamed again. Outside. . . . " You love me?," Xelterria asked, and Gaav nodded. Xelterria smiled, " I love you too!" Gaav didn’t say anything, he just kissed Xelterria. At that moment, the meeting hall exploded behind them. Everyone that had been in the building except Filia, who was firing spells left and right, went flying straight up into the air, along with tons of rubble. " Lookie! Lookie!," Phibby giggled and pointed at Gaav and Xelterria. " You go girl!," Xellas yelled. " KAWAII!!!!," Deep Sea screamed at ear bursting levels. " Valgarv!," Raya howled, " He’s going to suck our daughter’s face off! Aren’t you going to do something?" " Uh. . . ..," was Valgarv’s only response, he was silently thinking every single deity he knew. " Bout freaking time!," Vallos muttered and crossed his arms over his chest. Changer giggled. " You know, this landing is going to hurt," Phibrizio mussed. That’s when time stopped completely. Everyone and everything was frozen in place, all over the world. Chapter IX The Lord of Nightmares giggled. Man, how she loved messing with time and space like that! She was sitting on her couch, watching her wall sized TV, an empty bowl of popcorn in hand, and three or four empty Mountain Dew cans on the floor. " This seams like a good place to stop while I get more popcorn and soda!," L-Sama giggled as she stood up and walked into her kitchen. A few minutes later, she came back in, set her popcorn and Mountain Dew on the table and sat down, on her remote. The TV screen went totally blank. " Oh fudge! I erased the world! Damn it!," L- Sama yelled as she got back up, " At least I have a back up copy. That world was hard enough to make the first time around, I know I wouldn’t be able to do it again!," she muttered as she pulled the now blank tape out of her VCR, put the back-up copy in, and pressed play. " DAMN IT!!!!! I DON’T WANNA WATCH THIS AGAIN!!!!!," L-Sama yelled as the picture came up on the screen. . . . At Mazoku Domain. . . .. " So, should we declare war on the dragons?," Phibrizio asked. Raya shook here head. " Is anyone else feeling a slight case of déjà vu?," Raya asked, " I can’t help but feel we’ve done this before. . . " " Yeah. . . .I do too," Valgarv said. " Oh well," Phibrizio shrugged, " Back to business. . . .." THE END!!!!! (Author’s note: Well, besides Raya’s statement of déjà vu, the rest of the war happened just like it did the first time, and the second time around L-Sama didn’t erase it, and she now has disabled the ‘erase’ button of her VCR!) Phibrizio: You made us live through that twice!!!!! Viv: It’s not like you knew it! Ashram: Viv, you are really evil. . . Phibrizio: Shouldn’t you be leaving about now? Xellos: Awwww! Phibrizio and Viv: Can it, Xellos. Xellos: Alright, alright, spoil all my fun! Valgarv: Oh, you finished it! Viv: Yep! And I have two more ideas stashed away in my skull! Phibrizio, Xellos, and Valgarv all scream. Ashram: You don’t like the stories? Val: It’s not that, it’s just that she tortures us in these stories! Have you read them? Viv: Hey! I don’t torture you, Val! Xellos: I’ll give you that one, Viv, you don’t torture him, you torture me and Phibrizio, which is really mean since he’s your boyfriend! Viv: XELLOS!!!!! Hey! Get back here! Viv chases Xellos off. Xellos: Phibrizio told me you were dating!!!!!!! Phibrizio: DID NOT!!!!! You’re just trying to get me in trouble!!!!! Phibrizio runs after Xellos and Viv Ashram: This kind of thing happens often? Val: Hai. Almost everyday. Ashram: I could live here. . . . Val: It would piss off the little guy. Both men laugh evilly and leave the room. In the distance, you can here Viv yell Dragon Slave, and you see Xellos’s silhouette against the sun. . . .. THE END! L-Sama: (mutters) How come I never get to participate in the funny dialogues? (Mutter, mutter) I just get to erase the world! (Mutter, mumble, mutter)
